At the 2023 Tribeca Festival, 5 new talented and diverse filmmaking teams will pitch their original feature scripted film projects to an esteemed Greenlight Committee of industry professionals to decide who will be the next $1 million dollar prize recipient.

Veterans Writing Project

The mission of the Writers Guild Foundation's Veterans Writing Project is to identify emerging writers from United States military backgrounds and provide them with the tools and insights to nurture their passion for writing and successfully navigate teh entertainment industry.

Commercial Directors Diversity Program (CDDP)

The CDDP - Commercial Directors Diversity Program is a 6-month program consisting of workshops, mentorships, networking, shadowing, a 15k grant to make a spec commercial, and an industry showcase to share the work.

The Sundance Institute Producers Track Labs support emerging independent producers with a work-in-progress feature film.

New Voices Filmmaker Grant

A new initiative in partnership with Netflix to support emerging LGBTQ+ directors with $25,000 in funding to create new work – in addition to mentorship, networking and professional development opportunities!

Black Writers in Focus

Selected students will receive a $6,000 stipend to support a part-time commitment over 10 weeks. Interns are expected to make a 20-hour commitment each week. The internship program will be hosted virtually over the summer (June 6th - August 19th).
